Ecuador the main nation in Latin America to perceived sexual and, regenerative rights in their constitution. With incredible quality in the ladies development it help with advancement constitution of 1998. The National Womenââ¬â¢s Council (CONAMU) made through these ladies developments. There are issues that despite everything remain that challenge womenââ¬â¢s strengthening, for example, in the territory of wellbeing and, conceptive rights. Most womenââ¬â¢s rights bunches don't have great organization with other social developments, for example, indigenous and human rights developments. Religion The Roman Catholic Church has ruled the strict viewpoint for Ecuador since the Spanish triumph. Catholicism stays huge in Hispanic societies. The congregation was the main pioneer organization managing the consideration of the penniless or teaching the individuals. The congregation increased extraordinary riches through gifts, shares, and inside and out buys. Each section of the congregation: the chain of importance, singular priests, and strict requests, possessed a type of benefits. In 1905, the liberalsââ¬â¢ authority put a grasp on the predominance of the Catholic Church. Under the 1945 constitution (and the Constitution of 1979) immovably settled opportunity of religion and the partition of chapel and state. During the 1960s, the Catholic religious administrators turned out to be progressively dynamic in supporting changes socially. Church pioneers composed proficiency crusades among the Indians, conveyed the establishments remaining grounds, helped laborers in securing land titles, and helped networks structure cooperatives. With the congregation supporting for social change, it carried struggle with the administration specialists. For instance in 1976, police captured Riobamba religious administrator Leonidas Pro-Villalba the episcopateââ¬â¢s most blunt individual and, profoundly evaluated of Ecuadorian culture and legislative issues. Investigation and Conclusions I am still similarly of felt that things are not as awful for Ecuador. On the off chance that CNN broadcasts Ecuador as the second best nation on the planet for retirement, than things are not as awful as we a few things get notification from report or get notification from others. Still as of a considerable lot of other creating nations, Ecuador has enormous steps to make, one of the most significant ones itââ¬â¢s the correspondence of right among guys and females. Enema of the State by Blink-182 free essay sample
Squint 182 Review Bowel purge of the State by Blink-182 is one of the most persuasive collections at any point discharged. It caught the core of an age, shot a band into superstardom, and established the class of pop-underground rock. Squint 182 achieved these accomplishments by the carful making that went into the making of Enema of the State. Every melody has a fundamentally the same as tone â⬠they all have a similar expansive passionate ââ¬Å"colorâ⬠yet the specific shade changes as the collection advances. The collection starts with the tune Dumpweed. It manages the dynamic idea of peopleââ¬â¢s personalities. Individuals â⬠particularly in growing connections between young people like the one in Dumpweed â⬠can go from adoring and kind in a moment to solid willed and aloof forceful the following. Dumpweed is a quick beat melody and is sung in an uproarious nasally voice. These qualities permit Dumpweed to pass on a feeling of youngster tension. Going with this apprehension in a sentiment of logical inconsistency. The verses about the young lady read, ââ¬Å"sheââ¬â¢s a pigeon, sheââ¬â¢s a [ââ¬Ã¢â¬]ing nightmare.â⬠The speaker in the melody doesnââ¬â¢t know how he feels about the young lady being referred to, and this makes a feeling of anxiety in the audience much the same as the feeling of disquiet made by Cognitive Dissonance. Dumpweed is a completely incredible tune and surely truly outstanding on the collection. The second melody on Enema of the State is Donââ¬â¢t Leave Me. It is more slow, less nasally, and less irate than Dumpweed. Be that as it may, it despite everything carries with it a feeling of tension. It is the opposite side of the Dumpweed. Dumpweed is about a person who is pondering leaving a young lady and her bipolar inclinations yet at the same time feels caught. Donââ¬â¢t Leave Me, then again, is about the second just after a young lady leaves a person. Itââ¬â¢s a decent melody, however not exactly of a similar bore as Dumpweed. Outsiders Exist is the third tune on the collection. It is interesting in that it conveys with it practically no feeling of teenager apprehension and doesnââ¬â¢t address the issue of youthful connections. Outsiders Exist was composed by Tom Delonge to communicate his conviction that outsiders have just visited the Earth. It is an entertaining and altogether captivating tune. It is much more slow than the past two melodies. Outsiders Exist fills in as a change between the ââ¬Å"angstyâ⬠initial two melodies and what may in all likelihood be Blink-182ââ¬â¢s most prominent tune. Leaving to College follows Aliens Exist. It is a really fabulous melody. It manages how youngsters feel when the secondary school connections they have had for quite a long time might just reach an early conclusion in view of school. The illustrations the speaker utilizes â⬠ââ¬Å"and in the event that youthful love is only a game, at that point I probably missed the kick-offâ⬠and ââ¬Å"bouquet of cumbersome wordsâ⬠â⬠strengthen the speakerââ¬â¢s guarantee of being ââ¬Å"unprepared.â⬠Going Away to College is one of the saddest and most excellent melodies composed by Blink-182. Despite the fact that it manages such an overwhelming subject, it figures out how to keep the state of mind the audience experience (generally) energetic. Next comes perhaps the most entertaining melody on the collection, Whatââ¬â¢s my Age Again?. Once more, the tone of the collection comes back to youngster apprehension and the subject is by and by youthful love. Combined with this however, are the new subjects of youthfulness and growing up. The speed of the tune fluctuates, with some quick and some moderate parts. This variety fills in as a connection between the fairly painfully slow away to College and the quick paced Dysentery Gary. Whatââ¬â¢s my Age Again? is a sidesplittingly clever melody that fills in as an uncover of probably the most strange occurrences of adolescent adolescence. Loose bowels Gary comes straightaway. It joins the cleverness of Whatââ¬â¢s my Age Again? with the high schooler apprehension of Dumpweed. Looseness of the bowels Gary manages the subject of a guyââ¬â¢s passionate reaction to enjoying a young lady just to see her end up with another person and his desire influences his sentiments toward that person. While an extraordinary melody all alone, Dysentery Gary is set where it is in the collection to a great extent for its impact on different tunes. It fills in as an expansion of the subjects presented in Whatââ¬â¢s my Age Again? what's more, serves a foil to the following melody All the Small Things. All the Small Things is the most tuned in to Blink-182 tune ever, and in light of current circumstances. It is a genuinely motivated tranquility of music. It is tolerably quick tune, however does not have the high schooler tension found in a great part of the collection. It utilizes just straightforward and unreasonably monosyllabic words. This gives All the Small Things and practically uncorrupt feeling of virtue and clearness. Tom Delonge composed it about his better half at that point (she is currently his significant other). He utilizes genuine models from his relationship to give the tune profundity. She really ââ¬Å"left roses by the stairsâ⬠and her ââ¬Å"surprises let [him] know she cares.â⬠She was consistently at ââ¬Å"[his] appear, watching, pausing, commiserating.â⬠All the Small Things is apparently the best Blink-182 tune and best tune on the record as a result of the profundity Delonge comes to by composing from his own encounters. While a not too bad melody, the following tune ââ¬- The Party Song â⬠doesnââ¬â¢t resound similarly the various tunes genuinely reverberate with the audience. Indeed, it is quick paced and ââ¬Å"angsty,â⬠however it manages the totally extraordinary (and shallow) topic of school parties. This melody doesnââ¬â¢t truly add to the general progression of the collection. The last tune, Anthem, again has a feeling of high schooler tension yet in addition manages another subject. It is about an enormous gathering the individuals from Blink tossed when they were in High School. While itemizing that night, the melody additionally investigates on the impact guardians have on their high school kids. Hymn analyzes the total control guardians have over their childrenââ¬â¢s lives to ââ¬Å"instant slavery.â⬠It is one of the better melodies on the collection as a result of the new subject it presents while as yet inspiring a feeling of high schooler tension. Eventually, Enema of the State is an incredible collection and most likely Blink-182ââ¬â¢s best collection. It gave Blink a wide fan base (before with the arrival of Dude Ranch, Blink has just been famous in surfer and punk culture). In enormous part it did so well on account of how well Enema was focused to its crowd. It intended to draw in adolescents and school kids. Enemaââ¬â¢s topic just as the high schooler tension it grasped and the youthfulness it enlivened extraordinarily pulled in this segment. All the melodies on Enema of the State are acceptable if not extraordinary, and for this any the numerous different reasons, it is one of the most persuasive and engaging collections at any point discharged.

The movie Titanic was produced by James Cameron and was released on December 19th, 1997. The opening weekend for this movie generated over 28.6 million dollars. The New York Times wrote that the surprising success of Titanic has already rewritten the rules of Hollywood film making. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "The Movie Titanic" essay for you Create order The Spectacular performance of Titanic- now the No. 3 domestic box-office attraction of all time, with ticket sales of $376.4 million (Elliott). They never thought this terrific but heartbreaking film to be such a hit, with over 1,500 people dying and a length of 3 hours and 15 minutes. One of the films executive producer stated, nobody anticipated the level of success. However, the film Titanic, produced by James Cameron, was distributed worldwide and did very well internationally because this event is considered a worldwide tragedy, was filmed, advertised well and was shown worldwide, and was easy to relate to. To begin, the film Titanic was such a hit internationally because the sinking of the Titanic was considered a worldwide tragedy that has created an interest for many people for decades. Ever since the sinking of the ship happened it has remained a mystery. Since there is only little evidence of what actually happened on April 14, 1912, the viewers got to experience what the people on the ship had to go through. The sinking was realistic even though the movie is based around a fictional romance. Throughout the movie, the viewers got to see actual footage and clips from the day the ship sunk. This gave the viewers a more realistic feel of what it looked like. Titanic did so well with international audiences because of the realistic elements that James Cameron carefully planned out that infatuated millions of people around the world. The set for this movie was created in 100 days in Baja, Mexico. The Titanic movie set is in Mexico and can be visited. The public can walk through certain scenes of this movie which really makes them feel as if they apart of it. James Camerons ability to make the viewers feel as if they apart of the movie and what happened on the boat plays a huge role in why the movie was so successful. Moreover, Titanic is also considered a global success because it was produced, filmed, and shown all over the globe. The key to a successful movie is to have different aspects of the film from all around the world. According to Lane Crothers in the book Globalization and American Popular Culture, a big Hollywood blockbuster movie may have been financing from businesspeople outside the United States, have an international cast and locations, include special effects made from outside the U.S., be distributed in dozens of countries through local distribution companies, and make more than 80% of its revenues abroad (Crothers). Titanic fits this description, with a few of the locations where this film was shot was in Canada, Mexico, and in the North Atlantic Ocean (IMDB). With that being said, it allowed for the film to have an international feel. It has been translated to over thirty different languages so viewers all around can enjoy this film. This greatly added to the international success of the film, with people being able to enjoy the story of Jack and Rose from all around the world (IMDB). Throughout the making of this film the budget was about 200 million dollars. The producers were worried that they would not make a profit for this movie. It was a surprise to them since the 22 years that it has been released, the gross profit is almost 2.2 billion dollars. To this day, it is still considered one of the most successful Hollywood blockbusters. This film has produced more revenue internationally than in the United States. Since 1997, the U.S. generated close to 658.7 million dollars and internationally the film has earned over 1.5 billion dollars. The majority of this films profit was not from the U.S. (IMDB). These numbers prove that Titanic was not only a hit in the United States but was also an internationally succes s and loved by many different people around the world. To continue, the Titanic had such an international success because it was easy for viewers to relate to. People all around the world can relate to a love story with tragedy. All fairy tales about love and romance usually end in happy ending, which at times is not very relatable. With that being said, the tragic ending in the Titanic helped create the international success because people tend to relate to a tragedy better than a happy ending since in real life every ending is not happy. Another theme that made this an international success in the idea of the American Dream. As stated in the book Globalization and American Popular Culture, much of the films success derives from the ways the values of American popular culture emerge in the movie. They provide a transparent foundation on which others can build their interpretations of the films significance in their lives (Crothers). The main character Jack, is on his way to America to find a better life, which is an illustration of the American Dream. We also see poverty through Jack who is romantic, loving, engaging, poetic, artistically talented, self-sacrificing, heroic, and above all, happy. Jack is self-made, self-confident, and successful in the most important ways (Crothers p.61). Viewers around the globe were interested in the plot of the American Dream and determination of character Jack Dawson. Another reason why the film was easily to relate to was that the majority of the film is set in the Northern Atlantic Ocean and the film includes characters from all around the world. The two main characters, Jack and Rose, are American, although there are other characters who are Irish and British. The fact that this film is not set in a certain country but in international waters, allows for viewers to all around the world to enjoy this film without feeling like they didnt belong with the culture. With the diversity of the characters, people from other countries felt like they were included in the story line. James Cameron was able to grab the viewers attention and crafted a film that people could relate to. To conclude, Titanic is one of the most successful movies of all time. This film brought the interest of so many individuals worldwide that a replica ship is being built that resembles the original Titanic and will set sail as soon as 2022. The Titanic is an international success through its captivating history, box office success, and its relatable plot. In Crothers book he wrote that the films popularity rests at least in part on the values and variables of American popular culture. The irrelevance of class, the importance of individualism, the lure of capitalism, and the distribution of talent across society are all foundations of American civic culture. In reflecting them, Titanic told a story that reached out the world. The world responded (Crothers 63). The film brought to life the sinking of the ship and started the worldwide interest of the Titanic.

A Gathering Of Old Men Essay Example For Students
A Gathering Of Old Men Essay Inner and Outer Images in A Gathering of Old MenIn the novel A Gathering of Old Men, Ernest J. Gaines, portrays theNovel through the eyes of individual narrators involved on the events of the day. The novel focuses on a group of cowardly black men who finally stop running and stand up for themselves and years of suffering. There is great difference between the narration of the black and white people. The black men grow through the novel and become individuals and depict their inner pain. The Cajuns do not see nor realize the years of pain and guilt that the black men have carried with them. The story illustrates two worlds, the inner world is the life in Marshall Quarters, the old black men and their family; the outer world being everything outside the Quarters, Fix, the Cajuns, and even the white people. The blacks have an inner family that has experienced similar hardships and treats each other in ways that are considered offensive by those members of the outside world. One of the most prominent examples is his use of the Christian names, given by their ancestors slave owners; and their nicknames. Before each black person narrates they are introduced, Grant Bello aka Cherry (41). Throughout the entire novel all black people have a nickname in which they only allow the inner world to refer to them. When Yank is confessing the crime of killing Beau Griffin begins to take down the name Yank. Y-a-n- and is corrected Sylvester J. Battly . Be sure to spell Sylvester and Battly right, if you can (99). The name he wants printed to the outside world is his real name, not the silly nickname his inner ring of friends refer to him as. These nicknames they find harmless by their peers, are offensive by others. When Charlie comes back, now a man, he wants to have a handle, too-like Mister. Mr. Bi ggs (187). This demonstrates the two distinct worlds of the blacks and whites. The nicknames are offensive if spoken by those outside their world. There are continuous examples through the novel that illustrate the presence and difference in the two worlds. Each of the old men tells a story of pain due to oppression by the white man. These stories automatically separate Mapes, Fix, or even Candy from the world and lives of the men. The common thread that unites these men is their story. Only on this day do they become individuals versus a group, a world with a common thread. They became individuals by telling their story that also depicted the difference in worlds. When Johnny Paul tells his story of the palm-of-Christians he tells Mapes, the outer world, No, Sheriff, you dont see. You do not even know what I dont see (89). The black men have different experiences and histories that separate them from the outside world. This is constant though the stories. To the Cajuns, the graveyard is more land, but to the blacks its their ancestors and identity. Without the graveyard, they will not be remembered. Each of the stories is a di vision between the two worlds. When Charlie returns to his world to confess the he killed Beau, he becomes a man. And says I want the world to know Im a man (187). By admitting his actions and standing up for himself he is proud. Although his action is murder, he still believes the world needs to see him as a man. In the end of the novel Mathu makes the decision to ride with Clatoo and the others that greatly symbolizes the two worlds. The inner world sticks together, especially after they have found their identities. Many of the differences of the two worlds are portrayed by symbols or symbolic statements. Candy refers to the old black men as her people, I will protect my people (19). She is not a part of that inner world, possibly apart of Mathus world, but not the inner world in general. By calling them her people, she claims ownership, which is far in the past. She is white and has not been oppressed by the white men for years.

Romeo And Juliet Essays (869 words) - William Shakespeare
Romeo And Juliet Excellent tragedy author: worst tragic life Yesterday afternoon I went to watch the play Romeo & Juliet at the Globe by one of the best play writer, William Shakespeare. The changes in the emotions, the tragedy, the comedy and the whole setting of the play brilliant. He has written many plays about comedies, histories and the tragedies. I know you are thinking I know that? But a lot of people don't know much about his family and his parents and origination, so after send my men around the country here is some thing about Shakespeare. William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. John Shakespeare, William's father, was a Glover and a Whittaker. He was a highly successful and respected man. His father held many public official positions: mayor, town council man, and justice of peace. Shakespeare's father was not able to write. In 1576, John's business went down. He stopped attending meetings and social events. Shakespeare was twelve at this point in time. Shakespeare's mother was Mary Arden. She came from a wealthy family who paid a handsome dowry to marry her off. While living on Henley Street, she bore eight children with the Shakespeare name. Shakespeare went to Stratford Grammar School where he studied classics written in Greek and Latin. His teachers gave him the incentive to read. He was taught by two Oxford graduates, Simon Hunt and Thomas Jenkins. Shakespeare had an unusual keen observation of both nature and mankind. His education ended here. Shakespeare from the begin had a keen interest in books, and stories. On November 27, 1582, Shakespeare married Ann Hathaway who was twenty-eight years old. On May 26, 1583, Ann bore their first daughter, Susanna. In 1585, a set of twins was born, Judith and Hamnet. Hamnet died at the age of eleven in 1596. After that he came to England and joined The Chamberlain's men, the acting company and after that we all know what he has done to provide us with the best entertainment, he can. The people's demand fulfilled The origin of the Globe has many interesting details that make up its history. London developed a demand for entertainment and theaters. Entrepreneurs took the chance and began to build them. In 1576 the first successful theater was in operation in London. This building was simply called "The Theater," which was owned by James Burbage and John Brayne. Twenty years later in 1596 the lease was about to expire. Their landlord was giving them an unfair lease that would make the troupe go bankrupt. A few years later Lord Chamberlain's Men, a theater troupe, decided to build themselves a playhouse of their own. They were also short on cash so they thought it would be most cost effective to use the previous timbers from The Theater and therefore the same design. They couldn't use it on the land it was on, so they took the materials illegally to make the Globe. At 12:00 at night, on January 20, they shipped the wood over the river to Bank side. Bank side in London was a "...rowdy bohemian suburb...[with] muddy channels..." said. In 1599, Shakespeare bought 12.5% of the shares in the Globe. During the same year the Globe was quickly completed. William Shakespeare is the person usually associated with the Globe but many other people contribute to its history. James Burbage the stockholder and an actor with Lord Chamberlain's Men, a theater company in London. His two sons Cuthbert and Richard, each received 25% of the shares in the Globe from their father and the other 50% was distributed to five other members of the troupe. This company was called Lord Chamberlain's Men after a patron of the acting company. These people and groups are living part of the Globe Theater. \ Change in the history throne The reign of the King James VI & I reading and learning flourished in the kingdom. The King himself wrote well and he wrote extensively. He was one of the most learned monarchs to ever sit on any throne and was known as "Britain's King Solomon". One of the King's most famous subjects is William Shakespeare. King James I was patron to Shakespeare's troop, which was known as, "The King's Men". King James VI & I, a king from infancy, had a rich family history. Shakespeare derived inspiration from this history for a play. King James was a firm believer in the divine right to rule. I have unconfirmed information from some of the people who went over

Capital Punishment is Not Right essays
Capital Punishment is Not Right essays To this date, Seven hundred and seventy two criminals in the U.S. alone have been subject to Capital Punishment. (Executions USA 2002). Using specific examples such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Timothy McVeigh execution, capital punishment is seen as inhumane, wrong and an unusual punishment. The death penalty is greatly rejected and discouraged by many countries and states. There are more than one hundred countries who have abolished the death penalty in law or practice, while the United States has increased the rate of executions and the number of crimes that are punishable by death (The Death Penalty...2000). Many politicians claim that they are tough on crimes, but they should spend ninety four percent of criminal justice money on preventing crimes instead of after the crime was committed (Get the Facts...2000). Protocol No.6 to the European Convention on Human Rights to Abolish is an agreement to abolish the death penalty in peacetime. The other two protocols, the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Protocol to the American Convention on Human Rights to Abolish the Death Penalty, provide for the total abolition of the death penalty but allows states wishing to do so to retain the death penalty in wartime as an ex ception (Facts and Figures...2000). There are several different procedures that are used to execute such as hanging, the electric chair, gas chamber, lethal injection and the fire squad, which is still used in Idaho and Utah (The Death Penalty, 2000). The death penalty is abolished for all crimes under the Human Rights because it is believed to be inhumane, cruel and degrading, but it is still enforced today. The death penalty should also be abolished because the failure to prevent the execution of the innocent and the cost for executions are outrageous. In the eyes of those who are for the death penalty, they believe that the criminal sho...

Summary and Analysis of Collapses Chapter One Essay
Summary and Analysis of Collapses Chapter One - Essay Example They book is highly influenced by the issues in ecology. One other reason of the book being a best-seller is that people perceive it to be a sequel of his book ââ¬ËGuns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies.ââ¬â¢ Collapse follows on the ideas presented in this book. Jared Diamond himself has been doing research in the field of evolutionary biology and was a student of it. His studied and researched many animals and birds in the natural places they lived. Because of the fact that he is an evolutionary biologist it is highly probable that while looking at the history of civilization he would be influenced by concluding something which is influenced by Social Darwinism. It has become an inherent predilection in evolutionary biologists. According to Jim Blaut, almost every major thing that has shaped humanity since the beginning of times has been because of changes in environment. To be more accurate, all the major distinctions among human societies, all those distinctions which allowed some of the societies to rise in the world and the others to falter was because of that particular societyââ¬â¢s domestic environment or the geographical placement of those people on the globe. If the history is summarized then it represents these differences. Culture is not that important in this context because all the important occurrences in history are explained by the environment rather than the culture. Culture only produces marginal changes. Jared Diamond in a very organized and structured manner moves through the major parts of history and tries to reveal through evidence that how each part of history in a particular area can be explained by the forces of environment affecting that area. The end result of these phenomena is the supremacy of Europe (ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢Jared Diamondââ¬â¢s Collapseââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢). In the first part of Collapse, the author gives his pessimistic views regarding the deteriorating environmental conditions in Montana in the Unite d States of America. He has used Montana as microcosm and as a useful test sample. Below the apparently clean and clear surface of the region of Montana there is a huge amount of dangerous toxic waste which is lying there. There are thousands of mines in Montana which have been abandoned and are full with dangerous chemical and industrial waste like arsenic and sulfuric acid. All of this goes into the rivers. This is not only harmful for the natural habitat in the area but for the humans dwelling there as well. The condition of forests and the animals residing there are not much better either. They are helpless which makes Diamond write that it was previously observed in the first chapter as to how Montana was undergoing environmental changes which were detrimental and were having economic consequences. The goals and values that have been outlined, if implemented would result in different ways of solving these environmental problems. These approaches are associated with different pr obabilities of getting the required results or failing in them. Currently there is a great difference of opinion regarding the success of even the best possible ways of solving these problems. It is unknown which approach would be chosen by Montana and whether it will be successful or not (ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢Jared Diamondââ¬â¢s Collapseââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢). It is not a good thing that the American Indians are not mentioned at all in the initial pages of the chapter. This is surprising because if someone for example writes about the environmental problems prevalent in Alaska, how the indigenous population of Inuits could not be mentioned at all. This is all the more surprising because the author has been very interested in showing the fact that pre-capitalist societies were just as

BUYING VS. LEASING Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
BUYING VS. LEASING - Essay Example The car that has been selected for this discussion is 2015 Accord Sedan LX. Whether to buy a car through the method of loan financing or obtaining a car on the basis of lease is dependent on various reasons. One of the reasons that help in deciding whether to buy or lease a car is dependent on how long does an individual wants to use and own the car. If the person wants to own a car for a shorter period of time and aims at changing the car in a limited time period, then the person should opt for obtaining the car on lease. If the person wants to keep the car for a longer period of time, then the person should obtain it on the basis of a loan. For example, table 1 suggests that if a person wants to keep the car after the lease period is over the total cost of obtaining the car will be $26,712 and this cost will include the residual value as well as the lease payments that a person will make for 3 years for a 2015 Accord Sedan LX. On the other hand table 2 suggests that if the person obtains the car on the basis of an auto loan, he has to pay a total amount o f $25,596 and this amount will include the 2.9% APR that a person pays on the Manufacturerââ¬â¢s suggested retail price. This means that purchasing a 2015 Accord Sedan LX for the long-term on the basis of loan is less expensive as it costs $1,126 less to obtain a car on the basis of a loan instead of obtaining it on lease basis. On the other hand if a person choses to keep the 2015 Accord Sedan LX for a shorter period of time then he/she should opt for the leasing option because the person will only have to pay $15,012 to enjoy the car for 3 years and then he/she can switch to another car. In my opinion, I would obtain 2015 Accord Sedan LX on the basis of a lease as I believe that owning a car for a shorter period of time is better than owning it for a longer period of time. Since I want to keep the car for a shorter time period, I would prefer to pay only $15,012

The Potentials and Pitfalls of Interfaith Marriages :: Essays Papers
The Potentials and Pitfalls of Interfaith Marriages As more Americans enter the cultural melting pot and cross ethnic and social barriers, the rate of interfaith marriages has increased, not because persons are less committed to their faith traditions, but because there is a new reality in which old barriers are breaking down. In the western hemisphere the issue of interfaith marriage is widely debated among all religious traditions. Many conservative denominations believe that, "A believer marrying or intending to marry an unbeliever is clearly going against the expressed commandment of God" (J.J. Lim) . Other religious denominations view intermarriages as, "The unity within diversity that adds a richness and beauty to marriage and to life" (Rev. Tom Chulak) . Regardless of one's religious denomination, a person's religion comprises the framework of meaning and the source of his or her values. When two people marry they bring with them their strengths and weaknesses, hopes and fears, and their religious dimension that plays a signifi cant role in their relationship, decisions and responses to each other. For this reason, many issues and challenges arise within interfaith marriages that require accommodations by each person including how the couple will deal with their religious difference, what religion they will teach to their children, and how their respective religious communities will respond to interfaith marriages. No two couples manage the adjustments that need to be made within an interfaith marriage in the same way. This is because there is no standard or typical Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or Muslim. Their knowledge, commitment, practice and attachment to the respective religious traditions, and their knowledge of, attitude and affinity toward the religious tradition of their spouses are so different that no two couples have the same experience. There are a number of factors that influence the rate of persons marrying outside of their religion, which are pertinent to all denominations and religions. The number of eligible marriage partners who are of the same faith group is limited and therefore it is more likely for individuals to look outside of their faith group for a spouse. Increasing enrollment at colleges and universities puts more young people of different faiths away from home and into social contact. Movement from ethnic neighborhoods into the more heterogeneous suburbs lowers barriers to interfaith dating. As secular influences gain strength and church attendance rates fall, young people are being increasingly raised in homes that have little religious commitment, which has been shown to increase the rate of interfaith marriages.

HTC Marketing
IntroductionThe mobile phone handling is on the rise day after day and it is transforming the field of technology and peopleââ¬â¢s lives across the world. In todayââ¬â¢s modern life; people spend considerable amount of time using mobile phone for various purposes. Thus making it the most wanted gadget that people use most frequently. HTC is one of the biggest brands in mobile phone & telecommunications industry globally.HTC has shipped around 32. 6 million unit of mobile phone accounting 4.6 % of the global market; placing the HTC brand as number 4 mobile phone globally in 2012. The Taiwan based company HTC caters mostly for the middle end segments. HTC has its presence in every segment of the market. It offers the cheapest of smart phones with the most basic features as well as high-end phones with all the latest features and was the first to introduce android. (http://htcsource. com/) The purpose of this assignment is to produce an outline with justification of HTCââ¬â¢s p roduct market decision to the international business under the following topics. What is international marketing? Firms entering international markets Researching international markets & emerging markets International marketing environment International marketing strategies of HTC Product & pricing strategies of HTC The marketing plan of HTC The marketing mix of HTC International marketing culture of HTC International marketing communication strategies This will help how HTCââ¬â¢s way fits in to the theories of International Business Marketing.History of HTCHTC Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese operation with the most part of being influential, creative and leading players in global telecommunications with an escalating influence in the industryââ¬â¢s future. HTC is the synonym of ââ¬Å"High Tech Computersâ⬠it starts its operation in 1997 and has made a name for itself in the global market and has been identified as one of the fastest brand & technology growing in the fie ld of mobile communication. HTCââ¬â¢s portfolio includes smart-phones and tablets powered by the Android software and HTC Sense operating systems (HTC Annual Report, 2010).It has started marketing its mobile phones under its own brand name (HTC) since 2006. Founded by Cher Wang, HT Cho and Peter Chou, which also reflects their initials in the brand name, the company has been the runner up in several successful operator branded devices, with established close partnerships with key players in the operator dominated mobile markets in Europe and Asia. HTCââ¬â¢s products are the most flourished in the world at the moment and thus since it has launched its own brands which have registered the fastest growth rate in the History of HTC.Its products are highly innovative & predictive of the future market trends, needs and demand with product range includes the full array of multimedia, wireless and web resources. HTC is related to the primary objective of most businesses entity which i s profit maximisation. Surprisingly for many specialists of the mobile phone technologies; HTC has been classified by the Business Week magazine in 2007 as the second best performing Technology Company in Asia while it was the third largest globally in year 2006.HTC has been ahead of one of its competitor Apple by breaking the technology trends in touch screen mobile telephones from 2002 onwards. (http://www. roc-taiwan-hn. com/) International Marketing A company becomes a ââ¬Ëmultinational corporation-MNCââ¬â¢ when it conducts any business function beyond its domestic bordersââ¬â¢ (Cullen & Parboteeah, 2010). Internationally HTC has captured markets of Asia & Europe. Their principles are to promote trust, openness, teamwork, and professionalism, and pride as part of their principles across the globe. From a global market share of 2% in 2010, HTC is aiming to hold 10 -15 % of the global smart-phone market share. The CEO of HTC Mr Chou has announced that there are four Americ an telecom carriers have been promoting the device in the U. S. market. This marks the first time that HTC has collaborated with four U. S. telecom operators to simultaneously promote sales of a single HTC handset. Adding to this part of the company's new marketing strategy to enter international markets Source:Gartnerr Research HTC Entering International Market HTC is probably inexperienced with dealing with political issues associated with different countries. Therefore, it is most likely a good idea that HTC decided not to merge with a company that was involved in different world markets such as Apple, Samsung or Nokia. They have instead chosen to take a slower route to internationalization, e. g. the US market which was a difficult market to get through as it is a closed market. Therefore HTC canââ¬â¢t sell its mobile phones directly to customers, so it has to be sold to network providers and then the operators sell it to their customers on behalf of HTC as agreed partnership (http://www. behance. net/). Researching international markets & emerging markets According to thomaswhite. com, whatever the reasons are; the East Asian nations of South Korea and Taiwan have transformed themselves from being the manufacturing backyards of the USA and Japan into high-tech giants in just over a generation.Their expertise in the field of electronics is impressive and all-encircling. The market for mobile phones includes of two significant markets segmentations; 1st the fundamental, ultra-inexpensive mobile phones which offers very little or just the basic function of the traditional communications boundaries. These inexpensive devices come with the basic voice telecommunication and text messaging services.2nd the technologically advanced types of phones are widely referred as smart-phones, they are assembled in and from a variety of technologies, scoping from the internet to video-calling. Both segments of the market are ultra-competitive, although the smart-phones s egment offers slightly better margins. Therefore the emergence of the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer, HTC which was involved in the design and manufacturing of cell phones for other organisations such as Microsoft and Google, has therefore transformed itself into a mobile phone brand (HTC) in recent years.International marketing environment The major component of external environment that affect businesses in various ways are the forces of globalisation (Paul, 2006) and the way the organisation has go forward from its start to its actual position, shows that HTC own this force at first and foremost. HTC started operations as an individual Brand on the global scale since 2006, thus because of the globalisation, HTC reached its customers on the global marketplace.According to Shelly and Rosenblatt (2009) nowadays organisations cannot operate at all without the use of the internet in a way or another. The internet as an external factor had considerable achievements on the developm ent of HTC at two levels. 1st: HTC was competent to differentiate and improve its smart-phones on the basis of internet, by including one of its key features which is the internet browsing possibility. Other companies on the marketplace manufacturing mobile phones do not have many advanced elements that can be found on HTC smart-phones.Therefore without the external factor of the internet, HTC would have never developed to its current level of brand image and profitability on the international market 2nd: HTC has greatly benefited from internet in the same way that most other business benefited as well. In particular, internet was an external factor that assisted HTC to be ahead of its current level through endow with platform to reach to the global market area, to promote its products globally and to get your hands on strategic partners as well as to correspond with its stakeholders at the global level.International Marketing Strategies The international marketing strategies of HTC have its uniqueness compared to some of its competitors. The marketing management of HTC has helped the organisation to penetrate numerous new markets and carried out efficient changes with rigid formulas within the existing markets. HTC has been identified in the leadership position through the process of adopting innovative approach in production & design and introducing to the market the first tri-band UMTS 3G device on the Microsoft Windows Mobile platform (2006), the first Microsoft Windows Smartphone (2006), the first Tri-band UMTS PDA, and the first spontaneous touch screen to allow finger tip navigation (2007) (Products and Innovation, 2010).By analysing HTCââ¬â¢s strategy, product differentiation and cost leadership are regarded as to be the lane to the market scope; whereas segmentation strategy is a narrow market scope (Porter, 1998) Product expansion is rarely used by HTC when the company introduces new creations to its existing active markets. Recent growth was real ized by the company by introducing the HTC One and previously with HTC Titan as well as the HTC Desires series for the medium-low rangeà market (htc. com).Product & Pricing Strategies As per Condor (2010) HTCââ¬â¢s marketing strategy is going through massive changes since the company is introducing more low-cost devices. The mid-pricing strategy adopted by HTC has been ultra-successful, since the company believes that its products are specifically customised to gratify customerââ¬â¢s desires. HTCââ¬â¢s customers are willing to pay even a higher price as they believe that HTCââ¬â¢s products has features that worth the premium prices.HTC smart-phones prices vary from a country to another according to the economical status of the country (htc. com). Marketing plan of HTC HTCââ¬â¢s marketing plan was in reverse gear in 2012 compared to 2011, where the mobile phone manufacturer did better according to the companyââ¬â¢s annual report 2012. The CEO of the Organisation M r Chou ultimately believes it was HTC's poor marketing that led to disappointment in year 2012. He revealed that HTC can be expected to redouble its promotional efforts in 2013 (http://www. theverge. com/).The chief marketing officer (CMO) John Wang has decided to go for a more passive and aggressive direction with its marketing plan as from 2013 to boost up profit maximisation through innovation and customer satisfaction. Marketing mix of HTC Marketing mix is well thought-out to be the fundamental element of marketing communication. Buhler et al (2009) revealed that marketing mix was at the outset referred to as 4Pââ¬â¢s of marketing with the combination of product, price, place & promotion. The 4Pââ¬â¢s can be study individually as part of a broad HTC marketing strategy analysis.HTC products are widely known for their range of smart-phones which are innovative in their design and functions. Product HTCââ¬â¢s own brand was developed from the personal digital assistant (PDA ) market to smart-phone products manufacturer (Asemi et al, 2011). It depends on the products specifications and the number and types of functions the product can perform. It also values the segmented market of the product such as low-cost, mid range or high end market. HTCââ¬â¢s products focus on the mid range & high end segment.Prices of HTC products are not unlike dramatically compared to the products of its competitors, such as Apple, Nokia and others, and the price of each individual category of mobile phone. Place in the case of a mobile phone manufacturer is to have the widest possible market share globally. HTC has got a massive presence in Europe & Asia, with emerging markets over USA and Africa. On the Australian continent the Taiwanese manufacturer of cellular phone has also been powerful due to the increasing number of Android software user on the continent. The place element of the HTCââ¬â¢s marketing mix are available from many locations within all forty countries the company has operations in, as well as through the company web-site. Promotional techniques used by HTC to advertise their products are mainly posters promotions via mobile phone shops windows and promotions in popular media such as magazines, newspapers and TV channels to penetrate the larger market. In essence HTC marketing strategy that has allowed the company to enter new markets was based on innovation and ensuring the high level of friendly user interface in its products.International marketing culture of HTC One of the most important factors to consider when penetrating an international market is the local cultural differences which can be a source of massive challenge. HTC usually take into account the cultural factors when engaging in international expansion. Each individual or group of people have different perceptions of life, different life values, beliefs and different ways of doing things. Without any doubts these differences would reflect on how they perceive HTC brand in general, and each specific products in particular as well. These issue are addressed the management of the organisation in the most efficient approach, since international expansion has been identified as the foundation of strategic plans of any company (Gray, 2013. htcsource. com) So far, all the challenge associated with various local cultural differences where HTC has entered has not yet affected HTC negatively. Particularly when the possible issues associated with cultural differences narrate to combine marketing communications efforts of any foreign corporation engaged in business in a country. E. g. the marketing communication efforts in most European countries and USA would at times involve women to feature in their publicity with allusions to their sex appeal. While such type of publicity are perfectly suitable in the western world, the same publicity would be judged to be offensive in some Asian, and Arab countries, due to cultural, religious or else differences. Any global organisation aiming for further international expansion that prefer ignoring such issues in their marketing communications and other aspects of their businesses, would be at risk to attract negative reputation for their brand image, which will damage the value of the brand on the long-term basis.International marketing communication strategies HTC do not take on a ââ¬Å"me-tooâ⬠strategy and persists not to follow or directly competing with its clients in the market. The mobile phone organisation has put into practice as its marketing communication strategies the transformation of the company from Taiwanese to International by sustaining the silicon-valley culture to promote innovation. This has been implemented by the formation of a global marketing resource team. Their primary target market is the first time smart-phone user. The marketing communication strategy has been driven by the branding strategy and product awareness.HTCââ¬â¢s SWOT Analysis Swot-Internal Ana lysis:Weakness: Leading PDA & Smart-Phone Manufacturer High Manufacturing Cost Strong Research & Development Set-up Low Brand Awareness Strong Relationship with Business Partners Lack of Products in Low Price Category Branded & Perceived as ââ¬Å"Value for Moneyâ⬠Products Do not have own operating system Swot-External Analysis:Opportunity: Threats: Increasing demand for touch screen phones with 3G Technologies Patent Wars Fast Growing & Emerging MarketsLess Customer Loyalty Development of Appââ¬â¢s to add value to customers Rapid Technological Change HTC mini tablet could be the next Market sensation Expected competitors tie-up, e. g Google acquiring.Motorola SWOT Critical AnalysisThe brand position of HTC is appropriately perfect; smart-phone is the proper choice of most customers. Without doubt the smart-phone market is a prospective market for HTC to keep investing. However, in significant markets such as China and USA, where most people still use cheap phones the deman ds for mid-range or mass price cell phones are still huge.HTC do have a pricing advantage over Apple and Samsung, but the low brand awareness do not appeal to the young generation or even first time smart-phone users. Therefore having some low price product branded HTC might be a threat to the mid range & high end market, if we take as example the story of Toyota & Lexus, which has disappointed many luxury car customers when they have found that Lexus was a product of Toyota. However as tablets are very fashionable at the moment, HTC could accelerate its research & development in to the manufacturing of an HTC tablet.RecommendationRecommendation 1: As a major player in the telecommunications industry, it is highly recommended that HTC consider opening its own application storefront as this will help creating their own operating platforms which will give them more control over their operations.Recommendation 2: According to the HTC annual report (2012), 5% of its revenue is reinveste d into research & development, they should therefore participate into launching new products range such as tablets and messaging systems; since they already have a strong structure in implementing new product lines.Recommendation 3: The slogan of HTC is ââ¬Å"Quietly Brilliantâ⬠and it is recommended that HTC develop an aggressive and noisy marketing campaign to build up their brand awareness and position themselves among Samsung & Apple. Conclusion As a mobile phone manufacturer, HTC has mainly diverse components and do assemble them in an eye-catching way to sell to its customers. Being able to bring to the market the very first touch screen smart-phone three weeks before Iphone, clearly shows the capacity of HTCââ¬â¢s engineers and this is the main reason for their success in the industry.HTCââ¬â¢s management team and engineering team can pride themselves for manufacturing one of the best brand mobile phones on the market nowadays. HTC also have various sources of dif ferentiation such as innovation, style & quality. As outlined above, the competitive advantages of HTC are their Research & Development, customization abilities, and partnerships with software, operators such as Microsoft & Google. This is a more powerful resource for HTC to open its own storefront and build up customer loyalty.

Nonrestrictive appositives are usually set off by commas, parentheses, or dashes. An appositive may be introduced by a word or phrase such as namely, for example, or that is. Appositive Exercises Practice in Identifying AppositivesSentence Building with Appositives Examples of Appositives My father, a fat, funny man with beautiful eyes and a subversive wit, is trying to decide which of his eight children he will take with him to the county fair. (E.L. Doctorow, Homer Langley. Random House, 2009) Observations on Appositives The appositive is a substantive or nominal set off by commas from the word which it identifies. We say that the appositive is used in apposition with the other word. Ex: The king, my brother, has been murdered. Ex: we spotted Tom Hanks, the movie star, at the cafe yesterday. In the first example, the noun brother is used in apposition with the subject king. The appositive renames or describes the subject king by specifying which king the sentence is about. In the second example, the noun star is used in apposition with the proper noun Tom Hanks, a direct object. The appositive clarifies the proper name, telling us which Tom Hanks was seen. For all we know, the writer could have a cousin named Tom Hanks. Remember that the appositive and the noun to which it refers always share the same four propertiesââ¬âgender, number, person, and caseââ¬âsince they both name the same entity. (Michael Strumpf and Auriel Douglas, The Grammar Bible. Owl Books, 2004) Punctuating Restrictive and Nonrestrictive Appositives Bens brother Bob helped him build the house. If Ben has more than one brother, the name Bob would be necessary to identify which brother is being discussedââ¬âin other words, to restrict the meaning of the word brother. If Ben has only one brother, the name Bob would be additional information not essential to the meaning of the sentence; Bob would be a nonrestrictive appositive. Nonrestrictive appositives are always set off by punctuation. Since no punctuation surrounds the appositive Bob in this example, we know that Bob is a restrictive appositive (and that Ben has more than one brother).
